Volterra, Meshullam (Meshullam ben Menahem of Volterra)

(fl. 15th cent)
   Italian financier. He inherited his father's loan bank in Florence. In 1481 he travelled to Palestine; after a month's stay he returned to Florence via Venice. His Massa Meshullam mi-Volterra be-Eretz Yisraelis an account of his voyage.
